Vedic Astrology

Vedic astrology, or Jyotish Shastra, has its origins in the Vedas. This is an ancient Indian philosophical system that studies how the stars move and how that affects life on Earth. The Sanskrit term Jyotish literally means "the science of light." In this usage, "light" refers to the light radiation emitted by planets and stars. Because Vedic astrology is intended to help those who feel lost or disoriented on their life's path, many people refer to it as the "eye" of the Vedas. The earliest known form of astrology is Vedic Astrology, which dates back between 5000 and 7000 years.

Though there are similarities and advantages to both Vedic and Western astrology, the Vedic method is believed to be more sophisticated. Western System is based on Sun sign and Vedic Astrology is based on Moon Sign and serves as the foundation for all forecasts. Because the Moon changes signs every two and a half days, it is difficult to determine a person's Moon Sign based just on their birthdate. All horoscopes and forecasts are based on Moon Sign, which makes use of the date, place, and time to provide more accuracy. While the overall interpretation of planetary movements is the same in both systems, Vedic astrology provides a very advanced calculating method that yields fine information.

Destiny vs. Free Will

Based on Vedic wisdom, our destiny and free will determine our future. Situations we face in life are referred to as destiny, but our response to them—both in terms of thought and behaviour—is determined by our free will. Additional karma is created by our reactions, and this karma then dictates the circumstances we will inevitably encounter in the future. Put differently, we have the power to choose our own fate. The Vedas recognize four goals of human life, Dharma, Artha, Kama, and Moksha. A person's preferred way of living that promotes spiritual development is known as Dharma. Doing our duty with honour and righteousness is our Dharma.

Kama, which means "desire" in the literal sense, describes the need for both emotional and sensory fulfillment. All creatures seek happiness in one way or another, and they ought to do so without doing harm to others or themselves. Although Artha translates to "goal" or "purpose," it has a more focused meaning that has to do with obtaining wealth or feeling secure. An individual needs wealth to provide the resources needed to achieve their goals and experience the happiness that comes with doing so. Moksha, the ultimate aim, signifies "liberation" and is associated with a person's spiritual growth leading up to their ultimate release from the cycle of birth and death and attain Moksha.

Vedic astrology is our karma's map. It helps us navigate our lives in order to achieve these four goals by providing us with a more precise understanding of our own nature and destiny. But in the end, it is all about assisting us in reaching the ultimate objective of moksha through our spiritual growth. By examining our horoscopes, we can gain a deeper understanding of the energies that impact us and learn the most effective ways to respond to them. These ways often involve spiritual practices like Chanting and Meditation which aid in our spiritual development.
